Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Librarian / Assistant Professor (Non-Tenure Track).
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications, up to $41,000.
Degree Requirement: Master's degree from an ALA - accredited institution at the time of hire.
Required Qualifications: The position requires an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with demonstrated customer service and teaching skills, reference desk experience, effective communication and time-management skills, the ability to work successfully with colleagues and patrons, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will be to support First Year Students' adjustment to college. This will include teaching workshops and course-integrated library sessions for lower division programs in support of campus recruitment, student success and retention initiatives. This librarian will also coordinate tours of the Library and other activities for new and prospective students and will build relationships with other College units and programs dedicated to the academic success of first year students. Additional duties include reference service (both in-person and virtual); collection development in selected subject areas and active involvement in faculty governance and professional service.
