Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Information Technology.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications:  $38,000 - $43,000.

Degree Requirement:  AAS degree minimum

Required Qualifications:

Applicant should possess an AAS degree in related field with five years of current field experience in Information Technology; or 3+ of current full-time experience and professional certification or teaching experience in information systems or related field at an accredited K-12 or college institution. Work experience should include working and installing hardware, software, programming, and OS operation.  In addition, applicants will need to attain Idaho teaching certification within the first 3 years of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in related field, 5+ years of experience as a network engineer or CCNA, CCNP. Teaching experience is also preferred. Information technology teachers that have Idaho Career & Technical Education credentials.

Responsibilities:

Will be responsible for classroom management; formulate and teach from a lesson plan from which lecture notes are devised to dispense the required information to student in a systematic and sequential format.   Areas of instruction include hardware, software, programming, and OS systems. Perform other duties expected of full-time faculty, including maintaining scheduled office hours; developing and revising curriculum; developing and implementing course and program assessment of student learning outcomes; developing and maintaining relationships with industry and academic partners; participating in college, division, and department meetings; serving on committees; student advising; and other duties as assigned.  Teaching assignments could be any combination of face to face (day or evening), hybrid or online, and are subject to change as needed.  Applicants are required to complete CTE teacher training courses for Idaho teaching certification.
