Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Web Design & Development.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications:  $40,000 - $45,000

Degree Requirement:  A.A.S in Web Design & Development or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of full-time work experience in front end web design and development; or
    5+ years of full-time work experience with an AAS in Web Design/Development or related degree; or
    3+ years of full-time work experience with a BAS in Web Design/Development or related degree.
  • Work experience using the Adobe suite of products.
  • Work experience in e-commerce management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full-time post-secondary, professional-technical teaching experience.
  • Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) certification
  • Online and hybrid teaching experience
  • Master's degree in Web Design, Web Development, Computer Science or a related field

Responsibilities:

1. Teaching     

  • Teach a minimum of 15 credit hours of Web Design and Development coursework each semester     
  • Be able to teach in online, hybrid, work-based and traditional classroom environments     
  • Hold a minimum of three office hours per week     
  • Teach evening or weekend courses or during summer term as needed

2. Advising     

  • Advise all current and potential Web Design and Development students     
  • Assist students, graduates and alumni with placement requests and opportunities     
  • Maintain currency with division and college policies and methods concerning student advising     
  • Work with the LCSC Career and Advising Office on new student intake and programs
