Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Student Involvement Coordinator.

Salary based on experience and qualifications:  up to $42,000 DOE

Degree Requirement:  Bachelor's, Master's preferred

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of comparable experience working with student organizations or student programming (event planning/advising)
  • Experience and willingness to work as a team leader
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of patrons
  • Strong ability to multi-task and balance short/long term goals
  • Weekend and evening work will be required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Certified in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Blood Borne Pathogens
  • Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Level Degree in Student Affairs, Business, Communications, or related field of student
  • Membership with NACA (National Association of Campus Activities) or similar organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of music and entertainment industries.
  • Strong event planning skills
  • Strong understanding of student organization operations, student programming, and student development
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and monitor contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management practices and implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to train, supervise, advise undergraduate students
  • Strong understanding of marketing and event/program promotion


The Coordinator of Student Involvement shares general responsibility for supporting the educational objectives of the college and enrolled LCSC students.  In meeting the co- and extra-curricular needs of the students, the Coordinator of Student Involvement assumes responsibility for the following general functions:

  • Management and general oversight of LCSC student clubs and organizations, including ASLCSC.
  • Management and coordination of student media (radio station and newspaper).
  • Development and promotion of leadership training and skill development for students.
  • General administrative responsibilities.
