Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Budget Analyst.

Salary based on experience and qualifications:  $46,575 - $49,700

Degree Requirement:  Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent.
  2. Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  3. Excellent ability to organize, plan, and manage complex projects along with a proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
  4. Ability to compose official correspondence, reports, and other complex documents.
  5. Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in an institution of higher education.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years financial and/or budgetary experience.
  3. Experience analyzing information, identifying problems, defining alternatives and developing recommendations for management/administrators.
  4. Working knowledge of Ellucian Colleague Finance module.
  5. Involvement in an environment that requires maintaining confidentiality of information.
  6. Website development skills.
  7. Experience in Microsoft PowerBI.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the College complies with state and federal policies and regulations
  • Assisting departments in preparing budgets based on goals, current revenue, expenses and past performance
  • Preparation of multiple monthly reports for campus departments/divisions
  • Analyzing financial information and projecting income and expenditures
  • Devising and adapting procedures and systems to meet changing fiscal needs
  • Interpreting and explaining budget policies and procedures
  • Preparing clear and concise reports
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
