LC State invites application for the position of Student Accounts Coordinator in the Student Accounts Office.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $47,000 - $50,000

Degree Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field

Required Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of full-time work experience in accounting (accounts receivable experience including billing and collections preferred).
  • Proficiency with organizing and reporting data using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Technical competency and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication, customer service, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as a member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Title IV financial aid regulations.
  • Involvement with a one-stop enrollment/financial services operation.
  • Working knowledge of Ellucian Colleague Accounts Receivable module.
  • Experience with SQL report writing or Tableau reporting solution.


Assist with the overall operations of the Warrior OneStop/Student Accounts department, which includes billing tuition and fees, posting student account payments, creating or processing payment plans, posting or releasing residual funds, applying third-party sponsorship funding, and collecting current and past due student account balances.

Create, maintain and use reports to support both business processes and internal/external reporting requirements. Become proficient in Colleague Accounts Receivable module of ERP system to serve as Application Specialist in this area. Ensure compliance in accordance with federal or state regulations, institutional policies, and standard accounting and financial practices. Review, research, and reconcile student and financial accounts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of work performed. Create and update documentation on departmental and institutional procedures related to department.
