LC State invites applications for the position of Coordinator for LC State's Student Employment - Career Center.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $41,226
Degree Required:
- Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Required Qualifications:
- Two (2) years related experience in project/program coordination or event planning.
- Strong computer experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Problem-solver who seeks creative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Experience in business or related field
- Experience coaching others
- Experience in higher education and student leadership
- Experience supervising
- Knowledge of and experience in hiring practices, job counseling/coaching techniques, interviewing methods, professional development training
- Experience promoting/marketing programs
- Experience working with web sites and social media
- Experience facilitating
- Experience with project management including research, planning, development, implementation and evaluation
- Experience using the following programs: Colleague, Microsoft Access, Qualtrics
Responsibilities:
The Coordinator's role will serve both the LC Work Scholars program and the Student Employment - Career Center and will play a key role in project coordination and tracking. The Coordinator is responsible for the successful planning and execution of projects, events, and programs run by the Student Employment - Career Center and LC Work Scholars. The Coordinator will maintain accurate records, will be the main point-of-contact for events and programming, and will serve as a career coach.
