LC State invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Special Education in the Teacher Education & Mathematics Division.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $50,000 - $52,000

Degree Required:

  • Earned Doctorate in Special Education, Curriculum & Instruction or a closely related field prior to appointment. ABD considered

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have a proven ability to develop and deliver online courses.
  • Successful candidates should be committed to program assessment and to effective supervision of student teachers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful experience teaching at middle school and/or high school level.
  • Successful experience teaching college courses, both face-to-face and online.
  • Experience supervising student teaching internships.
  • Able to implement new curriculum.
  • Potential for scholarship demonstrated by publications, presentations, or grants.
  • Active in relevant professional organizations.
  • Experience providing academic advising for Teacher Education majors.


Lewis-Clark State College seeks applicants for a Generalist position in its Teacher Education and Mathematics Division. Successful candidates are innovative, creative, and engaging faculty who wish to join a team that works collaboratively to develop and deliver an outstanding teacher education program to prepare professionals to meet the challenges of teaching in the 21st century.

Teach 24 adjusted credit hours per academic year as assigned by Division Chair (teaching assignments may include online instruction); Supervise student teaching internships in the schools; advise Teacher Education majors; be actively involved in relevant professional organizations; develop a record of publications, presentations, and grants; participate in Teacher Education program assessment; serve on division and campus committees; work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
