LC State invites applications for the position of Electronic Engineering Technology Program Coordinator

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $60,000

Required Qualifications:

  1. At least eight (8) years of current experience in Industrial Electronics; OR
    Associate of Applied Science degree in related field with 5-years of current experience; OR
    Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3-years of current experience.
  2. Qualifications must include demonstrated mastery of DC and AC circuit fundamentals, semiconductors and digital electronic theory, with documented work experience in polyphase power systems, power electronics, data acquisition, data communication networks, industrial instrumentation, RF systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and/or embedded microprocessor systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Marketing, advertising, and/or recruiting experience.
  2. Experience instructing adult learners.
  3. Experience managing budgets, designing instructional activities, supervising, creating fruitful partnerships, and/or recruiting and retaining students.


Recruiting (55%) The primary function of this position will be to develop partnerships with local industries and region schools, recruit students into the Industrial Electronics Technology program, and to implement ways to retain students to successful completion of the program. The position will help develop marketing material, attend recruiting events, visit region high schools, and meet with prospective students. This position will serve as the liaison between marketing, industry, public schools, and the program faculty. This position will work closely with the CTE program assistant and LCSC Admissions staff in recruiting efforts and coordination. The program coordinator will oversee and maintain program budget, contribute to college-wide goals and activities by serving on committees and other institutional activities.

Co-teaching (45%) With oversight of the current instructor, the candidate will assist in instruction and supervision of students in the Industrial Electronics Technology program. The candidate will be help develop, plan, implement, and revise program and courses, curriculum, and lesson plans. This position will help evaluate student progress in attaining goals and objectives; maintain lab equipment and program/personal certification requirements; attend faculty and educational meetings. Applicants are required to complete CTE teacher training courses for Idaho Teaching Certification during the first 3 years of hire. Non-standard hours and online or hybrid instruction may be required.
