LC State invites applications for the position of Assistant Registrar - Transfer Student Specialist.

Salary based on experience and qualifications: $47,682 - $51,500

Degree Requirement:

  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university OR Bachelor's Degree with significant experience in enrollment services.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in higher education;
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and customer service skills;
  • Ability to organize resources, establish priorities, and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Experience with ERP software;
  • A valid driver's license and willing to do some travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience maintaining program-specific articulation agreements;
  • Experience recruiting;
  • Experience in maintaining and implementing college transfer enrollment policies;
  • Experience in transfer transcript processing and evaluation.


  • Develop, maintain, and promote co-enrollment/co-admission agreements with community colleges;
  • Develop correspondence for and offer general guidance as needed for cohorts of students participating in co-enrollment/co-admission agreements;
  • Coordinate the development, maintenance, and promotion of program-specific articulation agreements;
  • Coordinate advisor training sessions for and between LC State faculty advisors, LC State enrollment personnel, and community college advisors to support articulation agreements;
  • Develop, maintain, and implement college transfer enrollment policies;
  • Oversee transfer transcript processing and evaluation;
  • Oversee transcription of transfer credit earned through military, exam (e.g., CLEP, AP, etc.), or experiential learning;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel at community colleges;
  • Coordinate with other enrollment offices, deans, division chairs, and faculty to visit community colleges and engage in student recruitment initiatives;
  • Facilitate advising and assist with orientation programming for orientation students;
  • Meet with transfer students as needed to provide general guidance about transfer enrollment, credit equivalencies, and other aspects of the enrollment process
