Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Development Coordinator.

Salary based on experience and qualifications:  $17,461 (.5 fte)

Degree Requirement:  A bachelor's degree and/or experience in fundraising with a demonstrated record of success are required.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree and/or experience in fundraising with a demonstrated record of success are required.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with volunteers and donors essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of direct mail solicitation of annual gifts.
  • Experience with donation record keeping.
  • Knowledge of in-kind gift solicitation and gift processing.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing special events geared towards donors, community members, and or students.
  • Can work independently and in a multi-layered team environment while fostering teamwork, and cooperation.
  • Good listening, writing, communications, and problem solving skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) databases such as Constant Contact and Abila.
  • Experience with website maintenance on a content management system.
  • Basic knowledge of IRS tax code as related to charitable giving.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with director of advancement and director of alumni to develop strategic goals and annual operational strategies to maximize gifts and commitments from alumni, parents, friends, corporate sponsors and foundations, with an emphasis on annual gifts.
  • Continue to grow faculty/staff campaign and payroll deduction program. 
  • Oversee the Foundation Scholars Program (special events, liaison program, eligibility tracking). 
  • Input and maintain donation records for gifts under $1,000.
  • Update and edit all web content for the Foundation and Alumni.  Help with social media posts. (Facebook & Constant Contact)
  • Create and update all internal brochures. (InDesign and Adobe)
  • Help coordinate and attend events for the Foundation and Alumni Association, as needed.
  • Serve as backup to the Advancement Services Manager for deposits, board meetings, data entry and updates as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director of College Advancement and Director of Alumni and Community Relations.
