Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Sport Administration/Kinesiology.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications:  starting at $50,000. 

Degree Requirement:  PhD or EdD in Sport Management or related field prior to appointment date.  ABD considered.

Required Qualifications:

The Lewis-Clark State College Division of Movement and Sport Sciences seeks applicants for an assistant/associate professor position in Sport Administration.  Successful candidates are innovative, creative, and engaging faculty who wish to join a team committed to serving undergraduate students.  Successful candidates should have a PhD or EdD in Sport Management or a related field prior to appointment date.  ABD considered.  Candidates are sought with evidence of expertise in a majority of the following areas:  Sport Marketing and Advertising, Sport Law, Sport Administration, Sport Facilities and Event Management, Organization and Administration of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance, Coaching Theory, Coaching Techniques and Strategies, Youth Sports and Recreation, and Technologies for Health and Wellness Professionals.  Candidates should also have a proven ability to develop and deliver online courses, to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff, and should be committed to program assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Able to implement new curriculum.  Potential for scholarship demonstrated by publications, presentations, and grants.  Active in relevant professional organizations.  Experience providing academic advising for Sport Administration majors. 

Responsibilities:

Teach 24 credit hours per academic year as assigned by Division Chair (teaching assignments may include online instruction); advise Sport Administration majors; be actively involved in relevant professional organizations; develop a record of publications, presentations, and grants; participate in Kinesiology and Sport Administration program assessment; serve on division and campus committees; work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
