Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Division Chair for Business Technology & Service.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications:  $72,000

Degree Requirement:  Masters' Degree in Adult Education or related field

Required Qualifications:

  • At least three years related business and industry experience
  • Three to five years administrative and/or teaching experience and responsibility in a regionally accredited community college or Career & Technical Institution.
  • Experience with Career & Technical education or related field
  • Must qualify for Idaho State Career & Technical Education Administrator's Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with an earned doctorate in Education or closely related field.
  • Applications should include evidence of effective leadership for curriculum development, advising, internships, e-learning, scholarship, budgets, and personnel.
  • A teaching assignment may be part of the job requirements depending on candidate content background.


The Division Chair reports to the Dean of Career & Technical Education and functions as a member of the Chairs' Council and the Career & Technical Education Management Team.  The Chair is an administrative officer for the college.  He or she is responsible for providing leadership for all division programs, personnel, and professional accreditation; facilitating communication with division, college leadership, and other stakeholders; and ensuring division compliance with college and state policies and procedures.  The Chair serves on college committees as assigned.  The Chair coordinates efforts with other Chairs, college units, and college leadership to support LCSC's role and mission.  Primary areas of responsibility include:  Administrative Relationships (internal and external); Budgets and Resources (appropriated and grants); Leadership; General Administration; Program Development and Management; Personnel; and Policy Administration.
